HARTFORD – Leah Rose Staffin, a community builder and Jewish educator, has been appointed assistant director of the Trinity College Hillel in Hartford.
Prior to joining Trinity Hillel, she was a Springboard Ezra Jewish Education Fellow and Program and Engagement Associate at Hillel at Washington University in St. Louis, where she advised student leaders and organizations, taught classes, managed social media accounts, and hosted social and religious events.
She also previously served as director of youth engagement at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, Massachusetts and, prior to that, as an education justice fellow at Repair the World: Philadelphia, where she organized volunteer opportunities and led educational empowerment programs for local teens and adults.
A native of Teaneck, New Jersey, Staffin is a graduate of Brandeis University, where she created her interdisciplinary major, Social Justice Studies.
