Norman E. Hurwitz, 86, of Orange, died July 29. He was the husband of Heidi S. Hurwitz. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Max and Sophie Hurwitz. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Thelma (Hurwitz) Muffs and Dr. Sidney Hurwitz. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jody Caplan and her husband Jonathan, and Scott Hurwitz and his wife Jocelyn; his grandchildren, Aliza, Benjamin and Sophie Caplan, and Max and Adam Hurwitz.
