Joseph L. Starr, 100, of West Hartford, formerly of Bridgeport, and Del Ray Beach, Florida, died June 10, just a few days shy of his 101st birthday. He was the husband of Selma Brown Starr. He was the son of Harry Starr and Gussie Derman. He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He was a member of Rodeph Sholom in Bridgeport and of Temple Anshei Shalom in Delray Beach. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Gary S. Starr and his wife Leigh Newman, and Martin G. Starr and his wife Sandra); his grandchildren, Joshua Starr, Jessica Starr Praskin (Alexi Praskin) and Alexander Starr; and his great-grandson, Noah Praskin.
