Elayne (Schwartzman) Canter, 84, of Hamden, died died Nov. 25. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Jacobs) Schwartzman. She is survived by her children, Kimberly Canter of New York City, and Sarabeth Canter of Hamden; her sister Cynthia Kanell of Orange; and her niece Jill Brodsky. She was also predeceased by her niece Merle Mangiello.
