William Askwyth, 88, of South Pasadena, Fla., died Sept. 8. He was the husband of Phyllis. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Coast Guard from 1951 to 1954. He was an active member of Temple Beth Tefilah. He was the son of the late Hannah and Louis Askwyth. He was also predeceased by his sister Florence Eschen. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Shelly Jewell and her husband Richard of Bolton, David Askwyth and his wife Maryanne of Hamilton, Mass., and Karen Fienman and her husband Jay of South Windsor; his grandchildren, Jamie Missios, Allison Hartnett, Joshua Fienman and JD and Emily Askwyth; and his great-grandchildren, Callen and Hadley Missios.
