Calvin Aarons, 83, of Newington, died Sept. 1. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Philip and Shirley (nee Kwartler) Aarons. He served for four years in the U.S. Navy in Morocco, Washington D.C., and aboard the USS Pocono. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford. He is survived by his brother Howell and his wife Trudy; his nieces, Beth Sugerman and her husband Irv, Wendy Aarons, Ellen Kiely and her husband Mark, and Marci Silverhart and her husband Todd; seven grand-nephews, two grand nieces, one great-grandniece and one great- grandnephew.
