Herbert D. Jones, 87, of West Hartford, formerly of Leominster, Mass., died June 6. He was the widower of Vivienne (Goldfarb) Jones. Born in Boston, he was the son of Alexander and Celia (Abrams) Jones. He is survived by three sons, Gary Jones and his wife, Jill, of West Hartford, Brian Jones and his wife, Pamela, of Franklin, Mass., and Richard Jones and his wife, Abigail Kramer, of Brookline, Mass.; a daughter, Patti Smith and her husband, Rory Miller, of Charlton, Mass.; 12 grandchildren, Collin, Courtney, Joshua, Harrison, Samuel, Jonathan, Ethan, Rebecca, Aaron, Jessica, Elizabeth and Nathan; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Connor; and two brothers, Robert Jones and his wife, Florence, of Silver Spring, Md., and Harold Jones and his wife, Lillian, of Alpharetta, Ga. He was predeceased by four sisters, Gladys Guethlen, Harriette Goodman, Greta Rittenburg and Laurel Cramer.
