William Katz (Bill), 90, of West Hartford, died May 13. He was the husband of Harriet Ruin. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Archie and Gladys (Cion) Katz. He served in the U.S. Army during the American occupation of Japan. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Gladie Lauer and her husband Steve, and Gary Katz and his wife Debbie (Steinberg); his granddaughters, Jessica and Hana Katz; and three nieces and a nephew.
