Harold “Ziggy” Rothstein, 93, of New Britain, died April 8. He was the husband of Maryann Smilnak Rothstein. He was the son of the late Nettie and Morris Rothstein. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was also predeceased by his son Robert “Bob” Rothstein, his sisters, Minnie Cross and Sally Steinhaus, and his brothers Edward and George Rothstein. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter-in-law Christine Rothstein; his grandsons, Robert Rothschild and his wife Martha, Richard Rothstein and his wife Shelley, Raymond Rothstein and his partner Kellie Beckwith; and Kellie’s children, Christopher, Julia, Olivia, and Shaun Beckwith; his great-grandchildren, Logan and Shelby Rothschild, and Chloe and Alaina Rothstein; his brother-in-law Richard Smilnak of Southington; his sister-in-law Karen Hollandsworth and her husband Roger of Boulder Creek, Calif., and his sister-in-law Linda Bakcsy and her husband Thomas of Perkasie, Penn.; and three nieces.
