Irving Gilston, 100, of Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of West Hartford, died April 9. He was the husband of the late Lina Gross Gilston. He was born in Hartford. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his daughter Sandra Gilston Hutzler and her husband Albert of Palm Beach, Fla.; his friend Belle Ribicoff of Hartford; his grandchildren, Albert D. Hutzler IV and his wife Sheri, and Irving Gilston Hutzler and his wife Meryl; great-grandchildren Henry, Ilana, Phillip, Aidan, Jake, and Joe; and several nieces and nephews.
