Speaking of Hope in Hartford

Voices of Hope – a group made up of the children and grandchildren of Holocaust survivors living in the Greater Hartford area – held its third annual “Speak Up” on Nov. 19 at the Mandell Jewish Community Center in West Hartford. The event showcased the stories of seven children of survivors. Among those telling their stories were: (l to r) Matthew Dicks, Elysha Dicks, Marge Swaye, Larry Zemel, Eliane Sandler, George Bacall, Ted Zablotsky and Estelle Kafer.
