Harold B. Shapiro, 90, of Avon, formerly of West Hartford, died Jan. 15. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Israel and Ethyl (Mekler) Shapiro. He is survived by his children Ken Shapiro of Norwich and Nancy Shapiro of Avon. He is also predeceased by his sister Toby Hano.
