Ruth (Katzman) Schatz, 81, of Hamden, died Jan. 11. She was the widow of Bennie Schatz. Born in Ansonia, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Tamara (Witkin) Katzman. She is survived by her children, Bruce Schatz and his wife Jane of Orange, and Brian Schatz of New Haven; her brother Harry Katzman of Ansonia; and her grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Evelyn Seltzer, and Jacob, Isaac and Albert Katzman.
