Bernice L. Ellis of West Hartford, died Jan. 20. She was the widow of William M. (Bill) Ellis. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Dora (Kaplan) Lutin. She was also predeceased by her sister, Thelma Gold. She was a founding member of Temple Sinai in Newington. She is survived by her children, Marcie, Steven, Cathy, and Laurie, and their spouses; her grandchildren, Sarah and Josh Tobin, Jennifer Plant, and Katelyn Corpe; and four great-grandchildren.
