Selma “Betsy” Alderman, 91, of Hamden, died July 1. She was the widow of Donald Alderman. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Ida Betzes. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Alderman and his wife Shizuko, and Cathie Sterling and her husband John; her sister, Phyllis Marcus; her grandson, Joshua; and her great-granchildren, Connor and Eli Jacob. She was also predeceased by her son Laurence.
