Dr. Lester Hankin, 91, of Hamden, died June 18. He was the widower of Selma “Dolly” Abrams He was the son of the late Max and Rose (Levin) Hankin. He was also predeceased by his brother, Herman Hankin, and his sisters, Annette Schadick and Celia “Pippy” Hochman, and his son Michael Hankin. He is survived by his children, Carol Batchman of Weymouth, Mass., and Ellen Ritt and her husband Aaron Johnson of Denver, Colo.; his grandchildren, Rebecca Ross of Woonsocket, R.I., Sarah Ross Gifford and her husband Jake of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., and Jonathan Ross of Weymouth, Mass.; his great-grandson Dante Patino; and a niece and two nephews.
