Bernard M. Slater, 88, of Bloomfield, formerly of Lyme and West Hartford, died March 1. He was the widower of Sydney (Subit) Slater. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Frank H. and Anna (Fierberg) Slater. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of The Emanuel Synagogue of West Hartford and Congregation Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek in Chester.
