Elaine Betty (Sklar) Chaet, 89, of West Hartford died Jan. 13. She was the widow of Howard Chaet. Born in New York, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Sophie (Cohen) Sklar. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Hecht and her husband Norman of West Hartford, and Marilyn Krutt and her husband Samuel of Vernon; her brother Herbert Sklar and his wife Bernice of New York; her grandchildren, Penina Cooper and her husband Eric of Damascus, Md., Paula Tracy and her husband James of Vernon, and Heidi Maynard and her husband Jeremy of Wethersfield; and her great-grandchildren, Kayla Caron, Ethan, Sophia and Hannah Cooper, Brandon and Dylan Maynard, and Jordan Tracy.
