The Plight of the Yazidis

On Sunday, Nov. 20, Yotam Polizer, director of the global partnership program of  IsraAID, Israel’s largest humanitarian NGO, spoke to close to 80 people at The Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford about the genocide of the Yazidis at the hands of ISIS. Overrun and assaulted by the terror group in August 2014, thousands of members of this small, peaceful, religious group living in northern Iraq have been murdered and thousands of their women and children have been kidnapped and enslaved. More than 400,000 Yazidis are displaced and in need of critical assistance.
