When they heard that the West Hartford Food Pantry was suffering a severe shortage, the students at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford came to the rescue — using social media and the school’s newsletter to solicit help from the community to restock the pantry’s shelves with cereal and pasta. Within just a few days, the students collected several bags of food that they then delivered to the food pantry.
