Gladys Abel, z”l, 90, of Bloomfield, died July 24. She was the widow of Robert Abel. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of Isadore and Esther (Popowitz) Jacobson. She is survived by her children, Bonnie and Eli Okrant of Bloomfield, Rabbi Jeffrey Abel of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Elise Abel of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Rebecca Orkrant, Shani and Shmuel Yablonsky, Rivky and Yosef Oppenheim, Chavi and Asher Lipsett, Chani and Yedidya Kaganoff, Yisroel Meir, Ruchuma, Chaya Sara, Goldy, and Elisheva; her great-grandchildren, Eliyahu, Yehudis, Yitzchak, Esther, Yehuda, Reuvain, Binyomin, Yehudis (Oppenheim), Yehudis (Lipsett) and Yehudis (Kaganoff); and two nephews. She was also Dr. Bruce and Margie Abel and son Dr. Adam and Elizabeth Abel. She was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law Judy Abel.
