The Working Class

WEST HARTFORD — Dr. Keith Rollag, associate professor at Babson College and chair of its Management Division, discussed his book, What to Do When You’re New: How to Be Comfortable, Confident, and Successful in New Situations, with a packed house gathered at Beth El Temple in West Hartford last month. Rollag, who was on hand as part of the JETS (Jewish Family Services Employment Transition Services) program, then led the group in several exercises aimed at helping people feel comfortable introducing themselves and getting to know strangers. The JETS program brings in speakers twice monthly to help the unemployed or under-employed transition back into the work force. Events are free and offer time for networking.
