Mitzvah Day in Ridgefield

More than 150 volunteers turned out to take part in the First Annual Mitzvah Day hosted by Ridgefield’s Congregation Shir Shalom of Westchester and Fairfield Counties on Sunday, May 15. Crews of volunteers participated in a variety of projects, such as collecting goods for food pantries, washing and detailing a mini-bus, and baking cookies for clients of a local soup kitchen. The Mitzvah Day projects benefitted more than a dozen charitable local organizations.
