Jonathan Fass appointed COO of Fairfield County JFS

STAMFORD — Jonathan Fass has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Jewish Family Service (JFS) serving Fairfield County.

In his new role, Fass will be responsible for the oversight of key elements of JFS operations and programming, including the agency’s annual fundraiser. His position was created following the retirement of JFS associate executive director Iris Morrison.

A Jewish communal professional for 17 years, Fass most recently served as a vice president of the Jewish Community Centers Association. He was previously an assistant executive director and Jewish educator in JCCs across the United States. From 2002 to 2006, he served as the managing director of Jewish Living and Learning at the JCC of Stamford. He relocate to Israel in 2006, returning to Stamford two years later.

Fass holds an MA from the Jewish Theological Seminary and was a fellow both in the Senior Educators Program of the Melton Centre for Jewish Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Jim Joseph Foundation Fellowship of the Lookstein Center for Jewish Education at Bar Ilan University.

It is a privilege to lend my hands and heart to the mission of JFS.”
