Two-year-olds in the early childhood program of Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford spent a busy week baking muffins, brownies, and banana bread for their bake sale — then loaded their baked products in wagons and carts. The traveling bake sale raised $250 for Foodshare. It was all part of a long–term project inspired by the educational philosophy known as Reggio Emilia — a hands‐and‐minds‐on exploration based on an emerging curriculum of children’s interests.
