Irving L. Finsmith, 99, of West Hartford, formerly of New Haven and Lauderhill, Fla., died March 30. He was the widower of Esther Finsmith and Jeanette Shapiro-Finsmith. Born Isadore Zuckerman in New York City, he moved to New Haven as a young child and was adopted by his step-father, Nathan Finsmith. He was also predeceased by his son, Paul Finsmith; his daughter, Lois Finsmith; his sister, Mildred Factor; and his brother, Edgar Finsmith. He is survived by his granddaughter, Amy Finsmith and her husband Adan Esparza, of Mansfield; his daughter-in-law Sheryl Finsmith of Bristol; his great-granddaughters, Alexa and Olivia; his step-daughters, Ellen Marshall of Colchester and Tobi Krutt of Tolland and their families; and several nieces and nephews.
