Carolyn A. Abel, 70, died April 13. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Richard Heft, Jr. and Augusta Helen (Bruns) Heft of Cheshire. She is survived by her children, Carla Abel Levinson and her husband Joe of Washington, D.C., Meredith Abel of New Haven, and Bethany Abel Posner and her husband Zach of Pikesville, Md.; her grandchildren, Caroline and Noah Posner; and her companion David Yale of Wallingford.
