Purim turns into a week of festivities at Hebrew Health Care

WEST HARTFORD— Purim begins at sundown on Wednesday, March 23 and continues through the day on March 24. But at Hebrew Health Care (HHC) in West Hartford the fun begins on Thursday, March 17 at 10:30 a.m. and lasts through the holiday a week later.

On March 17 at 10:30 am, HHC residents will enjoy a Purim play presented by the girls of Yeshiva K’tana elementary school in Waterbury; then, on Monday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m., students of Bloomfield’s Bess & Paul Sigel Hebrew Academy will lead a Purim parade throughout the building and outside, weather permitting. Traditional megillah readings will be held on March 23 at 6:30 p.mand on March 24 at 10 a.m., followed by a Purim parade led by Mandell JCC pre-schoolers. A Purim play and party will be held at 2 p.m. Also on March 24, Hoffman SummerWood will hold a Purim feast and play at 3 p.m.
