Bella Landek, age 96, of Easton, Conn., beloved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on Feb. 18, 2016. Bella was born in Bedzin, Poland, and was a Holocaust survivor. She met her husband Julius in Paris, France, after World War II, and they lived for many years in Rego Park in Queens, N.Y. Among Bella’s great joys was spending time with her loving daughter Marilyn’s family in Easton, Conn., and she moved to their home five years ago. Bella is survived by her daughter Marilyn, son-in-law Larry, and granddaughter Sarah Fox of Easton, Conn.; her grandson Jonathan Fox and his wife Alison of New York, N.Y.; her nephews Mark and his wife Rachel, Jim and his wife Alice, and Allan; as well as many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Bella will be forever cherished in their memory. Bella was predeceased by her husband Julius Landek, her daughter Sharon Landek, her sisters Gucia and Adela, and her brother Moniek. A funeral service to celebrate Bella’s life was held on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016 at the Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home, 88 Beach Rd., Fairfield, CT, with interment at the Loyalty Cemetery, 172 Burroughs Road, Fairfield, CT.
