ANNIVERSARY

 

LIL & LEE LIBERMAN of New Haven will celebrate their 72nd wedding anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 27. Lee, originally from Springfield, Mass., and Lil, a native of New Haven, met in 1940. Four and a half years later, when Lee was on a weekend from the U.S. Army, they were married.

Lee is retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and Lil from her work as a dental office assistant. They have three daughters, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The Libermans are members of The Westville Synagogue and Congregation BGeth Israel – aka “Orchard Street Shul.” The Libermans are also members of the Hebrew Free Loan and Burial Association, the Ethnic Heritage Center of New Haven, and the Golan chapter of ARMDI.
