Edith Johnson Savitsky, 88, of New Haven, formerly of Shelton, died Jan. 2. Born in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Henry Johnson and Bertha Fannik. She was also predeceased by her siblings, D’vora Greenberg, Alvin Johnson, Anita Bernstein and Paul Johnson. She is survived by her brothers, David and Michael Johnson, both of Florida; her daughters, Cheryl Izzo and her husband Frank of Rowayton, Robin Levine and her husband Martin of Glastonbury, Beth Hirshik and her husband Larry of New York, and Leslie Wolfson and her husband Robert of Portland, Ore.; and her grandchildren, Jesse, Jason, Michael, Alexander, Sydney and Molly.
