Dr. Phillip S. Kaplan, 85, of Orange, died Jan. 13. He was the husband of Vivian (Press) Kaplan. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Charles and Belle (Solomon) Kaplan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Paul (Angela) Kaplan and his wife Angele of North Haven, and Elise Kaplan Cudgma of Orange; his grandchildren, Daniel (Amanda) Nugent, Richard Kaplan, Adam (Nicole) Cudgma, John (Kristina) Cudgma, and Jacob Cudgm; and his great-grandchildren, Dylan Cudgma and Vivienne and Scarlett Nugent.
