Sarah Brody, 97, of Bloomfield, died Jan. 11. She was the widow of Joseph Brody. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. She volunteered for the United States Army during World War II and served as a member of the 103rd Field Evacuation Hospital, attached to the Third and First Armies, serving from Omaha Beach to the Elbe. She was a member of Beth Hillel Synagogue. She is survived by her children, Mitchell, Richard, and Jed Brody; and her grandchildren, Nathan, Miriam, Jessica, Dan, Ben, Tal, and Jade.
