Dr. Norman Zeldis, 93, of West Hartford, died Sept. 24. He was the widower of Janet (Nibur) Zeldis. Born in Romania, he was the son of the late Louis and Anna (Rubin) Zeldis. He served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his children, Martin Zeldis of Waterford, Lillian Gorfain and her husband Barry of Preston and Venice Fla., Kenneth Zeldis and his wife Alice of Pennington, N.J., and Susan Brim of San Diego, Calif.; his brother William Zeldis and his wife Muriel of West Hartford; his sister-in-law Chirley Zeldis; seven grandchildren, Julie Marks, Alan Gorfain, Joshua Zeldis, Isaac Zeldis, Adam Zeldis, Eric Zeldis, and Andrea Zeldis; six great-grandchildren, Seth Marks, Mitchell Marks, Braydon Zeldis, Fiona Zeldis, Lynzey Zeldis; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother George, his daughter-in-law Sylvia Zeldis, his son-in-law James Brim, his brother-in-law Henri Nibur, and his sister-in-law, Pearl Nibur.
