Edythe Gersten-Scott died Oct. 4. Born in Simsbury, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Celia Kaufman Gersten. She was a former member of Temple Emanuel of New York and Congregation Beth Israel of West Hartford. She is survived by her brother Aaron Gersten and his wife Sandra of West Hartford; her sister Minnie Sandick of Lakewood, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Maurice, Charles, Harold and Raymond, and her sisters, Sally Spurr, Dora Bailey, Esther Spiegelman, Ann Goldfield, Ruth Rome and Ethel Liss.
