Dr. Edward Etkind, 79, of Torrington, formerly of Woodbridge, died Oct. 2. He was the husband of Susan (Jacobs) Etkind. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Dr. Meyer and Beatrice (Ratner) Etkind. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Gerald Etkind of Mich., Howard (Jill) Etkind of Tenn., Marc (Dixie) Etkind of N.Y., Peter (Amy) Snyder of R.I., and Andrew (Robert Waters) of Calif.; his sisters, Nancy (Pete) Canada of Washington, D.C., and Judi Kibbe of New Haven; and his grandchildren, Miranda, Aliza, Sam, Perry, Molly and Jacob.
