Shirley (Neiditz) Abel, 92, of West Hartford, died Oct. 20. She was the widow of Sidney H. Abel. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Max and Esther (Nahum) Neiditz. She is survived by her children, Lewis Abel and his wife Lynar of Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Susan Maki and her husband John of Sterling, Mass.; her sisters, Hinda Fisher of West Hartford and Cipah Shapiro of Burlington; her brother, Machelle Neiditz of West Hartford; her grandchildren, Mickey Brown, Stacey Holmes and Bree Abel Rotter; and six great-grandchildren.
