COLCHESTER – Still not sure whether the proposed Iran nuclear deal is a step in the right direction – or one step closer to the edge of a cliff? To help clear up your confusion, on Thursday, Sept. 17 – the same day Congress is scheduled to vote up or down on the deal – the Colchester chapter of Hadassah will host a debate on its merits. The debate will be held at Hadassah’s monthly Coffee Klatch meeting, and will begin at 8:45 a.m. with a light breakfast, followed by a debate with panelists: Jerry Fischer, executuvie director of the Jewish Federation of Eastern CT; West Hartford attorney Mark Rosenblit an expert on international law as it relates to the Jewish people’s collective rights of settlement and self-determination in the Land of Israel; and West Hartford futurist and author Herb Gerjuoy.
