Speaking their mind

Members of Hadassah Connecticut Region met with U. S. Senator Richard Blumenthal in his office in August as part of the group’s “Day in the District” advocacy program. The idea behind the program, explains Hadassah CT Region President Sally Kleinman, is to meet with congressional representatives on their home turf in order to discuss proposed legislation that touch on issues of concern to the organization. In their meeting with Blumenthal, the women discussed the upcoming congressional vote over the Iran nuclear deal, as well as legislation regarding gender equity in medical research and women’s preventive health.
