Kings of the barbeque

BBYO was smokin’ on Sunday afternoon, August 30, when its team of barbeque virtuosos cooked up a big win at the Second Annual Southern New England Kosher BBQ Competiton and Craft Fair, held on the ground of Congregation Beth El in Fairfield. The team of four – dubbed, appropriately, “Honorable Menschen” – took home the coveted Marvin Rembo Memorial People’s Choice Award. The four are all BBYO alums from Connecticut, who at some point have either advised or worked for BBYO. The winning team was made up of Oren Guttman, Aron Pinkussohn, Matthew Melius, and Josh Cohen, director of BBYO Connecticut Valley Region. The Jewish Ledger is proud to have been one of the sponsors of the BBYO team!
