Ambassador Dennis Ross, who spent 12 years playing a leading role in shaping U.S. involvement in the Middle East peace process, will discuss the Iranian nuclear deal and the U.S.-Israel relationship at Carmel Academy in Greenwich on Thursday, Sept. 24, 7:30 p.m. He will also deliver the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven’s Beckerman Lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 7:30 p.m., at the JCC of Greater New Haven, 360 Amity Rd. in Woodbridge.
Ross served two years as special assistant to President Obama and national Security Council senior director of the Central Region, and a year as special advisor to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. Today, he is a professor in the Practice of Diplomacy at Georgetown University and a counselor and fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy. His new book, Doomed to Succeed: The U.S.-Israeli Relationship form Truman to Obama, will be published Oct. 13. Watch for an interview with Ambassador Ross in an upcoming issue of the Jewish Ledger.
