Abner Eliezer Shimony, 87, of New Haven, died August 8. He was the husband of Manana Sikic and the widower of Annemarie Anrod and Helen-Claire (Pierce) Walker. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Sarah (Altman) and Morris Shimony. He served in the U.S. Army’s Signal Corps of Engineers from 1953 to 1955 . In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Ethan Shimonay of Brookline, Mass., and Jonathan Shimony and his wife Françoise Delassus of Paris, France; his step-son Niko Banac of Los Angeles, Calif.; his brother-in-law, Christopher Montgomery; and his nieces. He was also predeceased by his sister Ruth Montgomery..
