Chabad UConn has a new home

STORRS – Just in time for its 10th anniversary, Chabad at UConn has moved into a new location right near the university’s Storrs campus. The new house is located at 15 Moulton Road, right across from the main UConn sign on route 195, across the street from Husky Village. According to Chabad at UConn director Rabbi Shlomo Hecht, the group made the move on August 5, “so we will be all ready to begin the fall semester with a bang!”

The group had outgrown its previous home on Courtyard Lane, explains Hecht. “Though many students and alumni say they miss our cozy home at Courtyard, where the memories are awesome, we will keep on creating new and meaningful memories on Moulton Road,” he says.

The community is invited to a housewarming and Labor Day barbeque at Chabad at UConn’s new home on Monday, Sept. 7 at 4 p.m. For more information call (860) 429-8672 or visit JewishUConn.com.
