Ivan “Ivy” Sachs, 87, of Branford, died July 22. He was the husband of Rita (Benowitz) Sachs. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Joseph and Esther (Clarke) Sachs. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Mark Sachs and his wife Ilene, Ellen Pellegrino, Linda Buckman and her husband Ken, Howard Sachs and his wife Linda, Gregory Sachs and his wife Lisa, Robert Sachs and his wife Betsy, and Louis Sachs; his grandchildren, Eric and Sheree Sachs, John (Dana) Pellegrino, Lauren, Evan, and Rachel Buckman, Sarah, Leah, and Matthew Sachs, Cory, Mayah, Sam, and Alexandra Sachs, Alyssa, Emily, Serena, Melanie, Dylan, and Reanna Sachs; and his great-grandchildren, Zach, Ava, Maci, Lola and Farrah Pellegrino.
