Meeting of the Men

The Connecticut Valley Region of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (FJMC) installed a new Board of Directors at the Men’s Club Retreat held recently at Camp Ramah in Palmer, Mass.

Incoming International FJMC President Allan Gottesman of Miami, Fla. installed Martin Melnick, Men’s Club president, Beth El Temple, West Hartford; Glenn Hauer, executive vice president, Beth Shalom B’nai Israel, Manchester (BSBI); Lou Saftler, vice president of new club development, BSBI; John Kelman, vice president, Keeper of the Flame, Congregation Or Shalom, Orange; Gordon Fain, vice president FJMC Liaison, Temple Beth Sholom, Hamden; Don Miller, treasurer, The Emanuel Synagogue, West Hartford; and Ben Schultz, immediate past president, Rodeph Sholom, Bridgeport.

FJMC is the international umbrella organization for a confederation of more than 250 men’s auxiliaries serving 25,000 men throughout the United States and Canada.

CAP: Allan Gottesman installs Martin Melnick as a board member of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs Connecticut Valley Region.
