Ruth (Popiel) Pinkus, 92, of New Haven, died May 11. She was the widow of Sherwood I. Pinkus. Born in New York, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mollie (Schiffman) Popiel. She is survived by her children, Lynne Franford of Orange, Susan Abate and her husband Vinni of Woodbridge, and Mindy Cavicchia and her husband Antonio of Trumbull; her sisters, Frances Godfrey and her husband Robert of New Haven and Edith Ferber of New York City; her grandchildren, Marisa, Brian and Sarah, Emily and Matthew, Chelsey, Jenna, and Julie; and her great-granddaughter, Ella.
