Herbert Gewirtz, Ph.D., 82, of Middletown, died April 28. He was the husband of Paulette Gewirtz. Born in Manhattan, he was the son of the late Wolf and Freida Gewirtz. He was a member of Congregation Adath Israel. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Susan Martin and her husband Stuart, and Andrea Gewirtz; and his grandson Michael Martin. He was also predeceased by his son Glenn Allan Gewirtz, and his siblings, Eva, Isadore, Sally and Rose. DOOLITTLE FUNERAL SERVICE
