Harriet Vachss Harris, 74, of New Haven, formerly of West Haven, died March 29. She was the wife of Harry Harris. Born in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Benedict and Bessie Scott Vachss. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Rebekah S. Carolla and her husband Andrew of East Haven, Sondra J. Harris and her husband Jeffrey Verrier of North Las Vegas, Nev., and Allan J. Harris and his wife Patricia of Easton, Mass.; her granddaughters, Lila Belinda Harris and Charlotte Francesca Harris; her brother, Stephen Vachss of Dublin, Calif.; her sister, Marcia Braunstein and her husband Mark of Stamford; and two nieces and a nephew.
