Back to Work Series in Southbury

(SOUTHBURY) The Jewish Federation of Western CT is partnering with area professionals to present a four-part “Back to Work” series of workshops at the Jewish Federation of Western CT in Southbury. Session will run on four consecutive Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. – noon, beginning April 15.

Led by communications professional Bobbi Knezek and professional resume writer Bill Florin, the goal of the series is to prepare job seekers of all levels and types for their next career move.

The series will kick off on April 15 with a workshop on resume writing. The goal is to create resumes that clearly show accomplishments and demonstrate skills and potential. Participants are encouraged to bring their resumes to the workshop; they will receive a preferred template and have an opportunity to begin writing sections of their resumes. In addition, they will receive an editing style guide to help ensure their resumes and cover letters are written correctly.

Other sessions in the series include: Linked In and Networking; Using Indeed for a Successful Job Search; and Interview with Confidence.

Sessions will be held at the Jewish Federation, 444 Main St. North, Southbury. Cost of attendance is $10 per session; $35 for the series. Space is limited; reservations are recommended. Call (203) 267-3177 or email rsvp@jfed.net.
