OXENHANDLER

Isaac Benyamin “Ben” Oxenhandler z”l, 88, of West Hartford, died Feb. 19. He was the husband of Tehila (Berenstein) Oxenhandler. Born in Monticello, N.Y., he was the son of Bernard and Esther (Zalkind) Oxenhandler. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the Occupation Forces at Tachakawa Air Force Base in Japan. He was a member of The Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Yosef Oxenhandler of the United Kingdom, Sari London of Phoenix, Ariz., and David Oxenhandler and his wife Nancy of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his sister Shulamis Feder and her husband Rabbi Simcha Feder of Brooklyn, N.Y.; his brother Sol Oxenhandler and his wife Simmy of Mount Laurel, N.J.; six grandchildren, Brianna Jae and Jenna Ariel London, and Daniel Abram, Jenna Beth, Melissa Tamar, and Ahsha Oxenhandler; and many nieces and nephews.
